Bridging prostate cancer screening gaps for high-risk men
Bridging prostate cancer screening gaps for high-risk men
The primary aim of this study is to evaluate psychosocial issues related to screening and interventions for African-American men compared to that for Euro-American men who are at increased risk for prostate cancer due to their ethnicity and/or family history. We would like to determine how aware men are of their increased prostate cancer risk and how they use early detection tools such as PSA testing. We will provide telephone counseling in an effort to increase awareness of prostate cancer risk and early detection tools.
