AB 2518: California Cancer Research Fund

Please send in your support for this bill today!

SACRAMENTO (June 12, 2008) - California taxpayers could lend a helping hand to fund cancer research simply by checking a box on their state income tax forms under a bill by Assembly Majority Leader Alberto Torrico (D-Newark) that was approved today by the Senate Revenue & Taxation Committee on a 6-1 vote. FULL ARTICLE
The Northern California Cancer Center is the primary sponsor of California State Assembly Bill 2518, a bill that will add the California Cancer Research Fund to the California state income tax form's contribution section. The bill is currently in the California state legislative cycle and thanks to support from over 70 individuals and 10 agencies, this bill passed through the California Assembly, and most recently passed in the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee. You can be a part of the success of this bill since it still needs more support to be passed through the entire legislative process.
