We cordially invite you to our June 2nd event:
"Preventing Cancer, Promoting Life"
On Monday, June 2nd, the Northern California Cancer Center will open its doors to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Cancer Information Service (CIS) Partnership Program, California Region. The event will take place from 8:45 to 11:30 am and will feature a range of cancer information presentations and a chance to meet the scientists and staff.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States, and a critical strategy in cancer control efforts is the education of Americans about steps they can take to prevent cancer, detect it early, and choose the best treatment plan.
For 15 years, NCCC's leadership in running the National Cancer Institute's CIS for the state of California has resulted in getting the latest and most accurate cancer information to patients, their families, health professionals, and the public. The CIS partners with state and regional organizations that directly serve minorities and the medically underserved.
Please note: Our featured speaker, Congressman Pete Stark will not be able to attend this event.
